Downtown Reading will host the final weekend of the Official Pennsylvania World Cup Fan Zone this Saturday and Sunday, bringing live FIFA World Cup 2026 match broadcasts, concerts, entertainment and family activities to the city.
The free event, organized by the City of Reading in partnership with Experience Reading & Berks County and Philadelphia Soccer 2026, will take place at Reading Arena (Santander Arena) and throughout the 600 and 700 blocks of Penn Street.
Fans will be able to watch the FIFA World Cup 2026 matches inside Reading Arena on two 40-foot screens featuring Telemundo’s live Spanish-language broadcasts in an air-conditioned setting. According to the city, Reading is the only Official Pennsylvania World Cup Fan Zone in the state offering Spanish-language broadcasts, serving the region’s large Spanish-speaking community. English-language broadcasts from FOX will also be shown at an outdoor viewing area at the DoubleTree by Hilton Reading.
Saturday’s schedule runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and includes the bronze medal match between France and England at 5 p.m., along with live music, DJs, youth soccer activities, interactive games, vendors, food and beverage options, and a 3v3 Anywhere inflatable street soccer activation.
On Sunday, the Fan Zone will again be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., culminating with the FIFA World Cup Final between Spain and Argentina at 3 p.m. The day’s entertainment lineup includes live performances by Bad Slice, AX & The Hatchetmen, Supreem & The New Experience, and Sugar Ray, along with DJ performances throughout the day.
Telemundo62 personalities will also make appearances during the weekend. Valeria Aponte Feliciano and Janet Bolívar are scheduled to meet fans Saturday, while Belén Smole and Jaime Becerril will appear Sunday.
To accommodate the event, several downtown streets will be closed. Penn Street between Sixth and Eighth streets, Cherry Street between Sixth and Eighth streets, Sixth Street between Cherry Street and Court Street, and Seventh Street between Cherry Street and Penn Street will be closed. Street closures will begin after 5 a.m. Saturday, with full closures in place by 9 a.m., and are expected to remain until approximately 11 p.m. Sunday.
No parking will be permitted on Sixth Street between Cherry Street and Court Street, although traffic will continue to flow through that section.
Free public parking will be available beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday through 10 p.m. Sunday in the DoubleTree Hotel Garage at 750 Court St., the South Penn Garage at 635 Franklin St., and the Reed & Court Garage.
