Two people wounded in Reading shooting Tuesday evening, police say

Two people were injured in a shooting in Reading on Tuesday evening, according to the Reading Police Department.

Emergency dispatchers initially reported the incident at approximately 6:39 p.m. as multiple shots fired at an SUV in the 1100 block of North 10th Street. Initial reports indicated the vehicle later crashed near the intersection of Marion and Moss streets.

Reading police confirmed officers responded to the area of Moss and Marion streets for a reported shooting.

Police said officers located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported for medical treatment, and authorities said they were receiving care for their injuries.

No information has been released regarding the victims’ identities or the extent of their injuries.
