City police host successful Coffee with a Cop Event in downtown Reading

The City of Reading Police Department hosted a Coffee with a Cop event Wednesday morning at the DoubleTree by Hilton Reading Hotel, creating an opportunity for residents to connect directly with local law enforcement in an informal and welcoming setting.

Community members joined officers for conversations over coffee, asking questions, sharing concerns, and learning more about the department’s commitment to serving the public. Events like these are part of an ongoing effort to strengthen trust and collaboration between the police department and the people of Reading.

Mayor Eddie Morán praised the event as an important step toward open communication: “Coffee with a Cop gives residents the chance to talk with officers in a casual and welcoming environment. These conversations help build trust and show our commitment to working together for a stronger Reading.”
